Essay

Dissertation is devoted to the study of the basic mechanisms of the control of structure and physico-chemical properties of oxide-fluoride slag melts to create a fluxes with prognosed chemical-metallurgical and technological properties for welding of high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steels and electroslag remelting (ESR) in the short movable moulds of steels and alloys for various purposes. Based on the approach to the molten slag as a heterogeneous system mechanism of control of properties of slag melts through the formation in a liquid slag melt infusible dispersed phases was proposed.
