Essay

Dissertation is dedicated to solving of important scientific-technical issue of heat transfer in miniature evaporation-condensation cooling systems intensification for increasing of their heat transfer characteristics and development of effective heat transfer devices: miniature heat pipes, thermosyphons, and capillary pulsating heat pipes. Complex experimental research of vapour generation processes on the small surfaces and at cramped conditions was carried out. Estimation of interphase boundary forces at growing of vapour bubble was provided and the probability of capillary structure elements destruction in heat pipes is shown. Research of heat transfer processes in miniature heat pipes, thermosyphons and capil-lary pulsating heat pipes allowed to define main factors influencing on intensity of boiling and condensation heat transfer and maximum heat transfer ability. Determinant influence of cramped conditions on heat transfer ability of such devices is shown. New constructions of heat transfer devices based on evaporation-condensation cycle for heat rejection from powerful elements of electronics for terrestrial and space applica-tions were proposed.
