Bilyk R. The competitiveness of the region of Ukraine in the system of economic security

Object of research: processes of increasing the competitiveness of Ukrainian regions. Goal: developing of theoretical-methodological and applied principles for increasing the competitiveness of the regions in the context of strengthening their economic security. Methods: theoretical generalization, comparison, analysis and systematization, structural-functional and comparative analysis, regression-correlation analysis, main components, multidimensional statistical analysis, expert evaluations, methods of strategic research (PEST-, SWOT-analysis), system-dynamic modeling. Novelty: for the first time the theoretical and methodological principles of the study of competitiveness of the region in the context of strengthening the economic security of Ukraine were proposed, strategic priorities for enhancing the competitiveness of the region in the context of strengthening economic security were determined, a system of information and analytical support for identifying the state and conditions of the economic security of the region was developed, and improving the essence the notion of "competitive region", which is considered as a region that effectively uses its own resources under conditions of minimal financial and resource support from the state and empowering donors to raise funds and technical assistance phased model to achieve synergy interregional cooperation for increasing regional competitiveness through consistent implementation of the following steps: identification of the competitive advantages of the regions and evaluating the extent of their implementation; formation of basic factor components of socio-economic potential of state development; systemic realization of the potential and distribution of positive practices to other territories of the state; the strengthening of the basic components of the country's economic security, the directions of strengthening the security of territorial communities in the course of the implementation of administrative and territorial reform in Ukraine, the conceptual framework for establishing the interaction between the authorities and the public in implementing the policy of increasing the competitiveness of the regions. Scope of use: in the work of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Tax and Customs Policy in preparation of the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Balancing Budget Revenues in 2017"; Ministry of Finance of Ukraine during preparation of analytical materials and strategic documents on improvement of the mechanism of strengthening of financial security of the state; State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine in preparation of a scientific and practical commentary to the Law of Ukraine "On Prevention and Counteraction to Legalization (Laundering) of the Proceeds from Crime, Terrorist Financing and Financing the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction"; Department of Economic Development of Chernivtsi Regional State Administration in developing the Program of Economic and Social Development of Chernivtsi Region for 2017 etc., in the educational process of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University in the teaching of academic disciplines "Economic Theory", "Economic Security", "Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship", "Real Estate Market", "Entrepreneurship and Business Culture".
