Essay

Based on the original microscopic approach, discrete and multichannel continuum states of light neutron-rich nuclei as well as effective cross sections for nuclear reactions accompanied by excitation or rearrangement of the nuclei involved in the reactions are investigated. The eigenvalues of density matrix of a binary cluster system are found to play a crucial role in multichannel collisions of neutron-rich clusters. An effective intercluster potential generated due to the influence of the Pauli principle on the kinetic energy operator of the relative motion of the clusters is obtained. Algorithm of solving multichannel problems with consideration for different cluster configurations is developed. Solution of the problem of SU(3)-degeneration of the Pauli-allowed three-cluster states with the help of eigenvalues of the two-body subsystem is suggested. Phase portraits in the Fock-Bargmann space are constructed for bound and resonance states of binary cluster systems.
