Indices of the homeostasis of organisms and populations in the complex assessment of the state of hydroecosystems status This thesis focuses on the systematization of existing best practices regarding ecological assessment of water bodies, on providing suggestions concerning biological hydro-ecosystems' health evaluation, taking into account their regional peculiarities, and on the development of methodological expertise of operational control in the implementation of water resources monitoring programmes. The author had chosen the above-mentioned topic because of the need to address complex pollution issues that violate environmental and toxicological status of hydro-ecosystems, and in order to find analytical solutions in terms of integrating Ukrainian water policy with international commitments. In the course of work on the first research area, the author compared the ecological status of surface water and bottom sediments of the modern period with the retrospective data basing on common micro-component and hydro-chemical indicators. The concept implementation levels are based on four basic models, depending on the availability of retrospective data of chemical and analytical hydro-ecosystem monitoring. Each model provides for the use of authoring methodological approaches with the use of biological systems.
