Essay

The thesis focuses on the regularity investigation of the precision non-detachable joints formation from various homogeneous and heterogeneous materials and the development of precision welding techniques and procedures based on it. It has been established that the key requirement for providing precision is the transformation of an ultrathin surface layer into a plastic, activated state or liquid during the welding process as a result of the energy localization at the junction, surface modification, application of intermediate nanostructured layers or chemically active layers. The method of pressure welding calculations for producing precision non-detachable joints has been developed. New methods of pressure welding have been developed: 1 – through the interlayer which provides the localization of temperature and deformation influence on the narrow near-contact zone; 2 – through the intermediate layer of welding consumables; 3 – through the intermediate chemically active layer; 4 – through the solid layer in the form of porous foil. Recommendations concerning the practical application of additional tools of surface activation for precision pressure welding of various homogeneous and heterogeneous materials have been formulated. The typical general technology of producing precision non-detachable joints of metal materials by pressure welding has been worked out. Its effectiveness was tested during the manufacture of various products.
