Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the actual scientific and applied problem of mathematical modeling of CO2 emissions and sinks in land use change and forestry in order to increase the effectiveness of decisions on climate change mitigation at the global, regional and national levels. A number of methods for modeling the carbon budget of a forest ecosystem, geospatial modeling of processes of forest management and land use change for the global geospatial model G4M have been developed. Using the developed methods, mathematical models were created and an analysis of model errors was performed. The schemes of interconnection of G4M with other models for the formation of model complexes for the integral assessment modeling have been developed.
