In the dissertation work the analysis of the operation of friction units of the crank-connecting mechanism of internal combustion engines in operation from which it is seen that the main reason for their emergence from standing is the wear of highly loaded friction pairs. Existing methods of engineering the working surface of highly stressed friction pairs and methods for increasing their reliability and resource are considered. In the course of the study it was determined that existing technologies for hardening the working surfaces of parts have a number of significant drawbacks that are not eliminated in view of the specifics of their technological processes. As one of the options for eliminating these drawbacks, it has been proposed in the manufacture of friction pairs to use the combined use of technologies for discrete strengthening of the crankshaft necks and microarc oxidation of the antifriction layer of steel-aluminum inserts AMO1-20. To solve this problem, physical and mathematical models for the interaction of the surfaces of friction pairs were developed, a concept of generalized parametric modeling of complex mechanical systems, methods for analyzing the physical and mechanical processes of the proposed hardening techniques was developed. When carrying out the calculations, the capacities of the computer cluster Polytechnic-125 operating in the NTU KhPI were used. In the development of equipment for discrete hardening, the "Discrete-04" installation developed at the Institute for Durability Problems was taken as a basis. G.S. Pisarenko. In the course of the operation, the installation was substantially refined with the participation of specialists from SE "Zavod im. Malysheva ", ChNIIP of firm "TAVI" and the competitor taking into account the developed recommendations and experience of work on hardening of details by a discrete hardening method in production.
