Essay

The thesis is devoted to the scientific and applied problem of developing the scientific fundamentals of regulation of stress-strain state applying EDT. Electromechanical devices for EDT of combined action were produced, which combine two factors of effect - high current density and impact action. It was established that increase in the mechanical characteristics of welded joints as a result of EDT is predetermined by reduction in residual welding stresses and by strengthening of the metal structure. It was proved that EDT increases the life of specimens of welded joints of the AMg6 alloy up to six times as compared to untreated ones. It was established that straightening the deformations of welded joints applying EDT method contributes to almost complete their elimination. The mathematical model of EDT of plates of the AMg6 alloy was developed, on the basis of which the treatment modes were recommended, which provide reduction of residual stresses in welded butt joints of the AMg6 alloy. The technology of EDT of aircraft and shipbuilding structures of light alloys was developed.
