Essay

The purpose of the work is to develop the theory and practice of intensifying the processes of production of agglomeration iron ore raw materials, based on the development and introduction of new scientifically based methods for improving the structural and morphological characteristics of materials used, mass transfer and energy efficiency. The object of research – the agglomeration iron ore raw materials production technology. The subject of research – the theory and practice of intensification of the processes of agglomeration of iron ore on the basis of improved structural and morphological characteristics, mass transfer and energy efficiency. Methods of research: scientific analysis; theoretical studies; laboratory and industrial research; experimental research; processing of research results by methods of mathematical statistics. In the dissertation solves the actual scientific and technical problem of intensification of iron ore raw materials agglomeration on the basis of improvement of structural-morphological characteristics, mass transfer and energy efficiency, with the use of the first established regularities of agglomeration processes, of new developments in the field of technologies and equipment. The indicators of the intensity of the sinter process are developed - the intensity of combustion of carbon in the agglomerate layer, the intensity of heat emission in the combustion zone, as well as the fuel heat capacity of the agglomerate formation zone. The complex classification of methods of intensification of agglomeration processes, which include four levels of division - objects, directions, paths and methods are developed. A number of quantitative regularities of the agglomeration process have been established, which allowed to develop a mathematical model of the motion of the combustion zone of the fuel of sinter charge. The agglomerate quality index is developed - the coefficient of gas-dynamic resistance, - is based on the data on the content of agglomerate fractions of the size of -10, 10 ÷ 60, +60 mm.
