Essay

Object - the meadow grass seed of long-term use (6-10 years old and 37-41 years old) and newly established legume-grasses (alfalfa-bird'sfoot-grass and clover-grass); fertilization, liming, application of biopreparations; yield and feed quality. Purpose - the theoretical and experimental substantiation of the scientific basis for improving the productivity of meadow agrophytocenoses as a long-term use, as well as new legume-grasses, taking into account the doses of mineral fertilizers, the timing and modes of mowing the herbs, the application of liming, inoculation, growth stimulants, trace elements, compositional organomineral fertilizers, and agro-energy efficiency of feed production in the Western Forest-steppe. Methods - field, visual, weight, chemical, statistical, comparative calculation. The technology of rational use and renewal of long-term meadow grasses for optimal fertilization and alienation regimes and technology of cultivation of legume-grass mixes for obtaining high protein feed in conditions of the Western Forest-steppe; scientific and methodological recommendations for the improvement of long-term and perennial grasses were developed for the purpose of prolonging productive longevity, practical recommendations for the creation and effective use of age-old sowing grasses in the Western Forest-steppe. The implementation of the results of the research was carried out in 2008-2017 at the farms of Lviv region with a total area of 3.1 thousand hectares. Areas of use - agricultural production.
