Essay

The thesis presents the results of the study of electron and electromagnetic transport in the superconducting structures containing layered superconductors, high-temperature iron-based superconductors, ordinary superconductors and topological insulators. A number of linear and nonlinear effects in such structures are investigated and the specific features of these materials are revealed. In particular, the study of electron transport in systems containing such materials reveals the characteristic features that can be used for the identification of the electron pairing in iron-based high-temperature superconductors and the relationship between the roles of normal reflection and electron-impurity scattering in a topological insulator. In addition, a number of transport effects are predicted in the interaction of terahertz waves with layered superconductors, including self-induced transparency, cross-polarization, and resonant excitation of localized electromagnetic waves. It is shown that localized waves can have anomalous dispersion, which opens up the possibility to observe the negative refraction and stop-light phenomena. In addition, a method for the theoretical study of electromagnetic transport through layered superconductors interacting with a static magnetic field developed in the thesis, which is of fundamental and applied importance, in particular, for athe terahertz electronics.
