Anokhina T. The typology of lacunicons in the English and Ukrainian worldviews

The thesis is developed to the new theoretical and methodological concept for organizing the typology of lacunicons in the English and Ukrainian worldviews based on the application of both traditional methods of the science of lacunology, intercultural communication and translation, as well as using modern software ways to search for lacunae in various types of computer readable libraries, as well as in parallel corpora. The cluster categorization of lacunae according to three types of endozones: the linguistic endozone, the communicative endozone and the cognitive were implemented. The computer-readable initial lacunae register was systematized based on the lacunarity hyper-category according to the LANGUAGE - SPEECH - COGNITION scenario, and the initial / starting lacunicons of the English- and Ukrainian worldviews were compiled. The lacuna search by character and numeric identifiers algorithms were tested in text selections and text corpora. The detected lacunae were verified in monolingual and parallel bilingual corpora, and the compilation of the corpus lacunicon was completed. The term "deletion" was introduced into the Ukrainian scientific community to denote deletions in machine-readable bitext as one of the methodological procedures for organizing lacunicons of the English and Ukrainian worldviews. The regularities and differences in the quantitative and qualitative organization of typologically organized lacunicons of the English and Ukrainian world views were established. The computer-readable library of lacunicons of the English and Ukrainian workdviews contains units that are characterized by: cross-referential; belonging to the basic terms and concepts of each endozone and subzone of six clusters: paradigmatic, panchronic, syntagmatic, cultural, cognitive and corpus-based; the possibility of expanding the narrow research registry of the lacunion with the help of software in various corpora.
