Essay

On the basis of system engineering, which provides the theory, calculation and design of high-performance friction units of band-block brakes of draw-works with the involvement of system approach, analysis and synthesis, the parameters of the efficiency and energy intensity of their friction pairs (stability and fluctuations of the values of dynamic coefficient and brake torque, efficiency and braking performance, specific energy intensity) have been examined. The basic operating parameters of the friction units of the brake were systematized in groups, which allowed to perform stochastic tribomodeling of friction and wear of the surface layers of their friction pairs. The author suggests the method of estimating the thermal balance of a composite brake pulley during forced air-liquid cooling of its matte and polished surfaces, and also the author determines energy loading and temperature stresses of these pulleys. The author made an optimization design of the composite brake pulley, and the power level of the friction pad was estimated, which was forced cooled in the friction pairs of brake.
