Essay

The оbject of research: high-voltage semiconductor power supplies for gas-discharge technological installations, which are characterized by instability of load modes. The purpose of research: development of the theory of high-voltage semiconductor converters of electric power with synchronous non-phase structures for increase of their dynamic and power parameters and resistance to stochastic disturbances of their modes at power supply of powerful gas-discharge installations. Methods of research: based on the fundamental provisions of the theory of branched nonlinear electric circuits, the application of differential and difference equations, the method of averaging in the state space, continuous Laplace transform, Z- and W-transforms, the theory of automatic control and methods of numerical and physical modeling. Theoretical and practical results and innovationssolved an important scientific and applied problem of development of theory and principles of construction of high-voltage semiconductor sources for high-power gas-discharge equipment by developing effective structures of such converters, control systems and algorithms, mathematical models and methods of their calculation taking into account both energy and frequency properties and the energy that accumulates in the output circuits of semiconductor converters. A subject degree of introduction: the main results of the work are implemented in the Institute of Electrodynamics of the NAS of Ukraine, LLC «Electrotechimpulse» (Kyiv), LLC «Antares» (Kyiv), SVP "Kyiv CHP" PJSC "Kyivenergo".. Effectiveness of implantation: a significant technical and economic effect was obtained, which consists in improving the quality of powerful power supplies of gas-discharge installations (reducing the transient process time, increasing the accuracy of maintaining the output voltage or current, increasing efficiency). Sphere of use: power sources of powerful gas-discharge equipment.
