Essay

The thesis presents a new research field of cognitive linguocomparative studies – “ethnosemiometric linguistic axiology” to explain the stages and schemes of constructing a motivational continuum of kaleidoscopic matrix of value senses of British and Ukrainian people; the definition of the concept “motivational continuum of the axioconceptosphere” is phrased as a holistic and synergetic model of a kaleidoscopic matrix of values formed on the base of interaction of ethnic constants and cultural-value dominants, the fixators of which are basic axioconcepts. The investigation proposes the diachronic and synchronic ethnosemiometry of core and invariant-variant periphery of matrix axioconcepts TRUTH / ІСТИНА, GOOD / ДОБРО, BEAUTY / КРАСА, BENEFIT / КОРИСТЬ, and their relations are presented in the motivational continuum of the axioconceptospheres of the British and Ukrainians to measure the statics and dynamics of their main phases in the linguocultures under study and to determine the leading place of the modern nations of the British and Ukrainians on the civilizational spiral. The methodological basis has been developed for performing parameterisation of the motivational core and peripheral (invariant-variant) model of axioconceptosphere in the English and Ukrainian languages. To conduct a psycholinguistic experiment with the British and Ukrainians on the subject of reconstruction of dominant values reflected in their language consciousness, the electronic questionnaire has been formed in the Google Forms as the final stage of construction of the model. In the thesis, the results of the psycholinguistic experiment with British and Ukrainian people have been processed via a computer information and analytical service STIMULUS, and the associative fields of domains “Interest”, “The Meaning of the Interest”, “The Result of the Interest” and matrix concepts TRUTH / ІСТИНА, GOOD / ДОБРО, BEAUTY / КРАСА, BENEFIT / КОРИСТЬ have been constructed; the productivity indices of the associates for categorial and value domains-stimuli in their extrapolation to ethnic constants and cultural-value dominants of the British and Ukrainian ethnic groups have been measured; the study carried out the comparative cognitive-semantic parametrisation of motivational domains and value concepts as diachronic-synchronic-associative structures of the kaleidoscopic matrix of the motivational continuum of axioconceptospheres in the English and Ukrainian languages; regularities and differences in the formation of ethnic constants and cultural-value dominants in the motivational continuum of the axioconceptosphere of the British and Ukrainians are defined.
