The monograph is devoted to the consideration of the improving efficiency issues of ship internal combustion engines on solid and gas fuels. The complex of developed measures allows to increase the working process efficiency of solid fuel engines to 9% in comparison with diesel engines of similar di-mensions, which makes it possible to reduce CO2 emissions to 7,5% and NOx emissions to 30% with ex-haust gases. For low-speed gas-diesel engines, the expediency of supplying gas fuel to the working cylinder at a pressure of 4,0...6,0 MPa in front of the gas supply valve was established. This brings the process of mix-ture formation closer to TDC, while maintaining a constant flow rate of gas fuel through the nozzle chan-nel, ensures homogenization of the charge, and reduces energy consumption for compression of gas fuel before being fed into the working cylinders.
