Essay

The thesis is devoted to the development of synthetic methodologies for the chemical design of biologically active molecules based on naturally occurring isoflavonoids, coumarins, aurones and their application for the obtaining of new compounds that, probably, may effectively affect biological targets which are responsible for the path of various diseases development. The main results were obtained using modern organic chemistry and physical methods for elucidation of chemical structures. Taking into account the novel promising strategies of chemical design of potentially biologically active molecules, the research was focused on the introduction and replacement of functional groups, carbocyclic or heterocyclic fragments, transformation of cycles in molecules of natural compounds and also chemical conjugation of two fragments of naturally occurred compounds. New perspective synthetic approaches and preparative procedures were elaborated for the design of biologically active compounds based on naturally occurring isoflavonoids, coumarins, and aurones. Area of applying – bioorganic chemistry.
