This thesis is devoted to comprehensive analysis of iso- and aliovalent substitution within complex phosphate, vanadate, molybdate and mixed frameworks based on trivalent metals, comparison of their structural peculiarities, luminescent properties and photoelectrochemical performance in water splitting reaction. The concept of binary high-temperature solutions application toward crystal growth of tailored complex oxides has been shown to be successful tool for doping with luminescent moieties within different oxides framework in a wide range of concentration
