Object is the processes of formation of tourist destinations as a basis for the development of tourism in the border areas of western Ukraine. The purpose is to substantiate the theoretical and methodological foundations of the formation of tourist destinations in the border western Ukrainian regions in the context of European integration, determine their competitive advantages and strategic priorities and develop scientific and practical recommendations for their effective functioning. The results were realized by studying the theoretical and methodological foundations, organizational, economic and scientific and practical aspects of the formation of tourist destinations in the border areas of Western Ukraine in the context of European integration. The novelty lies in the development of theoretical and methodological, organizational and practical principles for the formation of tourist destinations in the border areas of western Ukraine in the context of European integration. Introduced into the activities of the National Tourist Organization of Ukraine, Chernivtsi Regional Council, Volyn Regional Council, Youth Health Sports and Tourism Extreme Center "Sadnista", private enterprise "Cruise-2000", Western Ukrainian National University. The sphere of use is the activity of enterprises and organizations of tourism business, government and local government.
