Essay

It was proposed for the first time the time scale of regenerative process in the rat liver after partial hepatectomy, revealed the prominent role of nonparenchymal cells and of tumor necrosis factor in promotion of regeneration, for the first time it was detected the activation of 2",5"-oligo(A)synthetase-RNAse L system, responsible for the abolishment of the "old" RNAs and revealed the correlation of nitric oxide synthesis with the phases of cell cycles in different liver cells. The conception about synergism of cell-specific and proliferative activities between the cells of different type and about mutual restriction of these processes in the cells of the same type was formulated. 6156
