Essay

The thesis is devoted to rising of wear steadfastness of engines at the expense of improving their design and technology of production. Researches on influence of structure and hardness of cylinder cast iron, its technological surface and its grinding in covering, piston and its rings coverings, engine working conditions- on steadfastness against lifting up and wear in the process of friction: cylinder-piston rings, on its mechanical losses and on the oil expenditures for burning away while running in and exploitation of engines were conducted. The influence of starting, cooling and lubricating systems on working reliability of cylinders, crankshaft bearings and turbocompressor while starting engines have been researched. On the basis of these researches the technologies of flat-and equaltop cylinders honing, tribotechnology of putting grinding in coverings on cylinders and pistols have been worked out and carried out, the systems of engines lubricating have been improved. These elaborations increased steadfastness of cylinders, pistol rings, bearings, crankshaft and turbocompressor against lifting up fuel and oil expenditures in the process of running in and exploitation of engines.
