Essay

Microscopic, semimicroscopic and phenomenological S-matrix approaches are developed to describe intermediate energy hadron and light-nucleus collisions with nuclei. Nuclear rainbow and other refractive effects in elastic and quasielastic light nucleus-nucleus scattering are studied. In the Glauber-Sitenko approach amplitudes, cross-sections and spin observables in elastic and inelastic particle scattering and reaction (p,n) on nuclei are studied, influence of the alpha-clusterization in carbon nuclei on scattering processes and role of intermediate excitation of nuclei in elastic p-A scattering are investigated.
