Essay

In the dissertation the correlation was studied the structural factors (grain size, purity, beryllium oxide content, texture etc.) and physicomechanical properties of commercial and experimental kinds of beryllium obtained by advanced powder technologies. А model was developed, which permits to calculate the expected density of the material and to find optimal parameters of the process. The laws (general rules) describing the role of structural parameters and technological factors in physicomechanical properties of beryllium were established. It was shown, that the major factors, which provide a high level of physicomechanical properties are the high purity of the metal and the structure, which is characterized by the equiaxed particle shape, ultra-fine grains (presence of subgrains) and random distribution of fine beryllium oxide particles.
