Complex of techniques and experimental equipment is developed with the help of which general regularities of friction and wear have been ascertained. The structure and properties of surface layer of a number heat resistant alloys has been researched. Basic principles of simulation of equivalent conditions in tribocojugates, working in extreme condition have been formulated. Wear resistance of materials with programmed changing in loading duties has been researched. Mathematical relationship of intensity of wearing to loading parameters was received wear resistant materials and methods of accelerated testing have been developed. Technological processes of restoration of worn - out parts and their assembling have been improved. Research efforts enabled to decrease fuel consumption when testing tehnological engines and raised their service
