Essay

The dissertation is the first generalized research of fossil diatoms, distribution regularities of it's remains in sediment designed and those ones for another regions of lands and base are compiled. The sequence of zone diatom subdivisions is determined, stratigraphic bench-marks are set and on this basis the first diatom zone biostra tigraphic scale of Cenozoic deposits is designed for the Ukraine. Ecological structures of fossil diatom cenozes have been served. The computer data base designed and the fossil diatom atlas of Ukraine compiled are as constituents.
