Essay

The work is devoted to the study of the rats neuroimmunoendocrine system state under the conditions of development high-calorie diet-induced obesity at different modes of melatonin administration (morning, evening and continuously with drinking water). The melatonin introduction stimulated the beige adipocytes appearance in visceral white adipose tissue, and in obese animals - led to the disappearance of "crown"-like structures (surrounded by macrophages adipocytes, which enter in the apoptosis phase). All modes of melatonin administration resulted in the cross-sectional area of white adipocytes decrease, compared to obese rats, but only a continuous mode of administration reduced this parameter to the control level. In addition to the normalization of white adipocytes morphometric parameters, the melatonin introduction affects the adipokines secretion, in particular the resistin (proinflammatory adipokine) level decreased in both serum and visceral adipose tissue.
