Essay

The dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy for educational program 184 – "Mining". – National Technical University "Dnipro Polytechnic", Dnipro, 2020. The purpose of the work is to justify the fastening parameters and protection elements of conveyor openings, at which their reuse becomes possible. The object of study is geomechanical processes developing around the conveyor workings reused. The subject of the study is the parameters of combined fastening and security structures in conveyor workings reused. The first chapter contains a review of information sources on the state of the coal industry in the world and Ukraine. The relevance of research carried out in the thesis is determined. The current situation in the world regarding the extraction and use of coal as fuel for power plants is called collectively - “decarbonization”. Its goal is a total transition to renewable energy sources by 2050, providing for the closure of coal mines and the transfer of some of them to another economic plane. During this period, efficient coal mining is possible only if the cost is reduced, which temporarily makes it competitive. One of the ways to reduce the cost of coal mined underground is to reuse the conveyor preparatory workings, which dominate the technological structure of the mine. The reuse of transport preparatory workings helps to minimize operating costs for coal mining and, accordingly, reduce its production costs. At the same time, an optimization problem arises: reducing the costs associated with the fact that it is not necessary to build additional production requires an increase in the costs of supporting the production in working condition used again. It is necessary to find such an engineering solution in which the stability of the development used repeatedly is sufficient, and the cost of measures to ensure it is minimal.
