The dissertation is devoted to the theoretical substantiation and practical solution of the scientific problem, which consisted of the justification of the elements of the fertilizer system, the establishment of optimal rates of seed sowing in order to maximize the genetic potential of peas varieties in the western forest-steppe. Scientific novelty of the research is that for the first time the peculiarities of formation of high (6.5-7.0 t / ha) pea productivity of the varieties of Madonna, Gotivsky and Otaman depending on the elements of the fertilizer system and sowing rates were established. Some elements of the pea fertilizer system have been improved to provide sufficient moisture to ensure the highest economic efficiency. The sowing rate of Madonna, Gotovsky and Otaman varieties has been optimized. The issues of vegetation duration, phenological phases of growth and development of peas, depending on weather and technological factors, peculiarities of functioning of photosynthetic and symbiotic devices depending on the influence of varietal characteristics, fertilization system, sowing rates, were further developed.
