Essay

An experimental study was conducted to study the features of peripheral nerve regeneration under conditions of severe damage and the use of an implant containing semiconductor silicon whiskers. The aim of the study was to establish the morphological, functional and neurophysiological features of peripheral nerve regeneration under conditions of severe damage and to restore its integrity using implants containing silicon whiskers. The experiment was performed on Wistar rats, which were divided into several groups (sham-operated, autoneurografting, grafting with alogeneic decelularized aorta and carboxymethylcelulose gel, grafting with aortic, gel and longitudinally oriented silicon whiskers).
