Thesis deals with the comprehensive scientific study on determining in criminal proceedings the value of real estate at the time of the commission of a criminal offense, appropriate methodological approaches, as well as in developing recommendations for improving valuation procedures and reducing the risk of expert error, in particular by developing and implementing a judicial evaluation algorithm of conducting a forensic appraisal and construction expertise in criminal proceedings. The issue of bringing to justice those guilty of committing the relevant criminal offenses is impossible without the mandatory appointment and conduct of a forensic appraisal and construction expertiseto determine the amount of material damage caused by criminal offenses. An urgent problem that arises during such forensic expertise is the determination of the value of real estate atthe time of the commission of a criminal offense (as of the past date). The solution to this problem is associated with certain difficulties in identifying the object of study (real estate), due in part to the objective impossibility of direct inspection of the object as of the date of the criminal offense, which usually differs from the date of the expertise.
