The dissertation deals with the complex research of representation of legal entities in criminal proceedings. The state of research of problems of representation of legal entities in criminal proceedings has been revealed. Nowadays, there is an urgent need to solve a number of theoretical and practical problems related to clarifying: 1) the genesis of the representation of legal entities in criminal proceedings; 2) the essence of the concepts of «representation of a legal entity in criminal proceedings» and «representative of a legal entity in criminal proceedings»; 3) the characteristic features of this type of representation in criminal proceedings; 4) the classification of representation of legal entities in criminal proceedings; 5) the procedural status of the representative of the legal entity as a participant in criminal proceedings; 6) the procedure for acquisition and termination of representation of legal entities in criminal proceedings; 7) the procedure for bringing a representative of a legal entity in criminal proceedings to justice; 8) the foreign experience in the aspect of representation of legal entities in criminal proceedings and its appliance in domestic criminal procedure law; 9) the legislative shortcomings in the field of legal regulation of the representation of legal entities in criminal proceedings and ways to eliminate them.
