Constitutionalism in Ukraine, being in the process of its formation, is characterized by a special national scientific paradigm that corresponds to modern objective conditions of development of our country, and also corresponds to the promising task of constitutional, legal and democratic transformations aimed at limiting (self-limiting) public power. Constitutionalism is the embodiment of national ideological and political thought as well as state and legal practice; has its own history of development; content elements that reflect the specifics of Ukrainian society; principles that have acquired its constitutional form and reflect the dynamics of a democratic society; institutions of the constitutionalism systems, which are currently in the process of formation and created on the basis of the balance between power and freedom, recognition and protection of human and civil rights and freedoms, the rule of law; in addition, constitutionalism is an integral part of modern legal culture, as it belongs to the fundamental values of modern civilization, which humanity has perfected throughout its history.
