Shcherbaniuk V. Investigation of escape from prison or custody

In the dissertation the complex research of theoretical and organizational-tactical bases of investigation of escape from places of imprisonment or from custody is carried out, theoretical positions and practical recommendations concerning investigation of this category of crimes are developed. The following tasks were solved: the current state of scientific research of the problems of investigation of escape from places of imprisonment or from custody; the most common ways of preparation and commission of investigated crimes are found out; the place of commission of crimes of this category is established; the identity of the offender is characterized; typical investigative situations of the initial stage of investigation of the considered crimes are allocated and the basic directions of their decision are defined; revealed the peculiarities of the search for persons who escaped from places of imprisonment or from custody; the ways of overcoming opposition to the investigation of the investigated category of crimes are outlined; the organizational and tactical provisions of the inspection of the scene, interrogation of the suspect and witnesses, investigative experiment were specified. The content of the forensic characteristics of this type of crime is revealed, the main elements of which are: the method and place of the crime, the identity of the offender.
