Raputa K. Development of venture capital financing of startups in Ukraine

This dissertation examined the theoretical foundations of venture capital financing of innovative entrepreneurial ideas and startups in the context of institutional concepts and identified the main problematics of the current scientific discourse in this area. It is established that the study of the features of venture capital financing of startups is interdisciplinary in nature and is implemented at the intersection of the theories of entrepreneurship, finance, economics and management. It is revealed that the main problematic aspects of current research are the justification of the effective structure of sources of financing at the stages of the startup life cycle, managing the relationship between entrepreneur and venture capital investor in the conditions of information asymmetry and agency problems, the formation of startups specific assets and rents in the modern digital environment, risk management and cost of startups, as well as the formation of tools for ensuring the effective development of a startup taking into account open and global markets.
