Essay

The dissertation research is devoted to creation of system of organic soybean seed production in organic farms of Forest-Steppe of Ukraine which will promote maintenance of obtaining of organic seeds of legumes with high sowing qualities at the expense of use in organic agriculture of alternative elements of agrotechnics, namely: agrotechnical measures of preparation of soil, scientific and soil adapted and resistant varieties, the use of biological protection and soil fertility improvers. The analysis of scientific and regulatory literature allowed to assess the current state of organic seed production in Ukraine and to establish the inconsistency of current legislation on organic production with the requirements and standards of the European Union for further formation and development of domestic organic seed production and its entry into the international market. In addition, there is a need to create an infrastructure for organic seed production that would meet the global requirements of the International Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). In accordance with the outlined purpose of the dissertation research, the main tasks of creating a system of organic soybean seed production in organic agricultural enterprises were set, namely: soybean cultivation and variety selection for organic seed production; use of organic elements of agrotechnics and fertilizers in organic farming; development and application of reasonable crop rotation; obtaining organic soybean seeds with high sowing qualities and yield; biologization of agrotechnologies for growing organic soybean seeds.
