The dissertation is devoted to the comprehensive study of synthetic approaches towards novel saturated bicyclic fused sultams, i.e. tetrahydro-1H-1λ 6-pyrrolo[1,2-b]-isothiazole-1,1,3(2H)-triones, evaluation of influence of their structure on chemical properties in reactions with common electrophiles and nucleophiles, as well as on regio- and stereoselectivity of reduction of carbonyl group, oximation, alkylation, halogenation condensation reactions, and reactivity towards the Wittig reagents and dialkylaminosulfurtrifluorides.
