Essay

The dissertation investigates the influence of prenatal stress on the formation of predisposition to the development of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) as an animal model of multiple sclerosis (MS) depending on the sex and age of immunization of rats, offspring of mothers with different sensitivity to EAE immunization. Based on experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis, a model was developed to study family forms of multiple sclerosis: parent pairs were formed from animals with a certain sensitivity to EAE immunization. The level of morbidity and clinical indicators of EAE depending on age, sex, prenatal development of experimental animals and maternal phenotype, as well as the level of sex hormones and the dynamics of corticosterone and annexin-A1 caused by immunization with EAE in adult animals were studied. The specificity of the action of prenatal stress as a factor influencing the formation of predisposition to the development of EAE in animals, offspring of mothers with different sensitivity to immunization with EAE, has been studied. The influence of prenatal development conditions on the age dynamics of EAE incidence in rats was revealed. We found the dependence of the level of morbidity and course of EAE on the combined effect of maternal sensitivity to EAE immunization, conditions of prenatal development, age of EAE immunization and sex of experimental animals. Sexual features of the dynamics of corticosterone and annexin-A1 in rats immunized in adulthood were revealed. The specificity of the influence of prenatal stress on the formation of sensitivity to EAE induction in the offspring of susceptible mothers to EAE immunization was found.
