Essay

The influence of these factors on the share of sown crop, density and height and productivity of meadow clover at the yield of 1 ha of dry mass, fodder units, crude protein, and gross and exchange energy; chemical composition of fodder including the content of organic substances, macro- and microelements and heavy metals; fertility indicators including the content of humus, main nutrients and pH (soil acidity), accumulation of root mass; removal with yield and nitrogen, phosphor (Р2О5) and potash (К2О) balance; anti-erosion resistance of grasslands and cellulose activity of soil microflora; economic and energy efficiency of different technologies for growing varieties of meadow clover was studied. Growing meadow clover for fodder purposes on typical low-humus chernozems in the northern part of the Right Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine was economically profitable, because regardless of the elements of cultivation technology provided from 14962 to 23743 UAH of net profit per ha with 88 or 259% profitability and the production expenses for 1 ton of fodder from 1415 to 2662 UAH and crude protein - from 5363 till 10265 UAH, payback (return) of energy consumption by output from 1 ha of gross energy (KEE) - 6.2 or 9.0 and output from 1 ha of exchange energy (BEC), as well as energy consumption per 1 ton feed units from 2.86 to 4.20 GJ. The highest indicators of economic and energy efficiency of meadow clover cultivation were provided by the Typhoon variety under inoculation of seeds with nodule bacteria on a background without fertilizers. Additional application of Р60K90 or N60Р60K90 on the background of inoculation, which is necessary to maintain soil fertility, decreases the efficiency of growing of meadow clover, reducing the net profit by 3486 or 5943 UAH / ha.
