This dissertation is devoted to study a role of the Crimean diaspora of Turkey in the repatriation process of the Qırımlı nation to their historical Motherland, to try to understand its contribution and influence, to substantiate its importance in a revival of the Qırıml’s culture, to protect their rights and freedoms. The dissertation is the first comprehensive scientific research of the history of the Crimean diaspora in Turkey in the Ukrainian historiography during a stage of its transformation from a community of Turks by the Crimean origin to the modern Qırımlı diaspora. Activities of the organized diaspora’s movement of Turkey and an influence of the Crimean diaspora of Turkey to the repatriation process of the Qırımlı nation from the former places of the exile and its resettlement in the historical Motherland – Crimea as well as processes to revive the national culture, education and spirituality are studied for the first time. The dissertation is a systematic research to summarize archival, field and written materials. One of the main methods for the dissertation’s research is also on of methods of «oral history», when as an information source are especial interviews with figures and activists of the Crimean diaspora in Turkey, who acted actively from the late 1980s to the early 2000s. A source base for this research is consisted of archival documents that are mostly unpublished ones as well as memoirs, periodicals and the author’s personal reminiscences. Unpublished sources have been found in the archives of the diaspora organizations in Ankara, Bursa, Eskişehir, İstanbul, etc. Besides that, researches for various aspects of the Crimean diaspora’s social life, especially the dissertations of the Crimean diaspora’s representatives are the important source. Conclusions and statements of the thesis is uncovering scientific knowledge on a role and influence of the Crimean diaspora in Turkey to the return process of the Qırımlı nation to their historical Motherland, the rebith of their national culture, protection of the Qırımlı’s civil rights and freedoms, relations between Ukraine and Turkey. Taking into consideration of strategic partner relationship between our countries, results of this research can also be used for foreign affairs of the Ukrainian government to communicate with both the Crimean diaspora of Turkey and the Turkish Republic’s governmental bodies. Cardinal principles and conclusions of this research can be used to prepare generalized works and textbooks on the Qırımlı nation, the Crimean diaspora, to elaborate appropriate courses of studies and option courses. As from the late 1980’s, the organized diaspora movement became as the integral part of the Qırımlı nationwide movement. The impact of the Crimean diaspora in Turkey on the repatriation and resettlement processes of the Qırımlı nation in the historical Motherland was very significant one, and its contribution to some spheres of the Qırımlı social and political life, such as culture, education, arts, spirituality, was often decisive one and it had determined a direction for development.
