Essay

The thesis develops an information technology which analyzes the electronic version of a book publication for problematic elements that may prevent readers with visual impairments from fully accessing the publication; annotates the electronic file of a book publication by visually marking problematic elements; and provides the result to the editor of the publication or other interested parties. . Based on the research conducted within the framework of the dissertation, the following results are obtained: For the first time: ● The relationships between the factors of quality of adaptation of books for visually impaired persons based on semantic networks and the language of predicate logic are formalized, which provides a basis for further research. ● Multilevel models of the priority of the influence of the selected factors on the quality of adaptation of publications are synthesized and the optimal variant of the adaptation process is determined based on the methods of mathematical modeling of hierarchies, ranking and linear convolution of criteria, which leads to the structuring of the information database. ● A structural and functional model of information technology for assessing the process of adaptation of publications for visually impaired persons is developed, the use of which makes it possible to obtain book products with appropriate quality characteristics. ● A simulation model of automated evaluation of the results of adaptation of publications using a developed method of calculating the standard deviation to determine the contrast of the illustration is created, the implementation of which ensures an appropriate level of adaptation of the publication for people with visual impairments. Improved: ● Means of assessing the quality of adaptation of publications for people with visual impairments, based on the developed algorithms and information technology program code to determine the quality of electronic versions of book publications. Further developed: ● The information concept of forming and substantiating recommendations for the adaptation of print publications, via formalizing the relationships between factors and developing optimal options for implementing the adaptation process. The results of the dissertation were used as part of the educational program of the Levenya Educational and Rehabilitation Center, as well as in lectures and practical classes at the Ukrainian Academy of Printing.
