The dissertation presents the results of research on the study of individual
elements of cultivation technology on the features of growth and development of
potato plants, photosynthetic activity of the assimilation surface and productivity
depending on the variety, fertilizer and feeding area, their impact on increasing the
productivity and quality of the obtained crop.

The introduction reflects to the relevance of the topic, the connection of the
work with scientific programs, topics, the goal and task of research, the object,
subject, research methods. The scientific novelty and practical significance of the
obtained results, which were achieved due to the study and improvement of the
elements of potato cultivation technology, were highlighted. For each of the
researched potato varieties (Aria - medium-early and Gurman - medium-ripe), the
optimal area of nutrition, the rate of application of the main fertilizer and foliar
fertilization in relation to soil and climatic conditions of the Western Forest Steppe
of Ukraine.
In the first section of the qualification work "Productivity of potatoes
depending on the influence of agrotechnological factors in the conditions of the
Western Forest Steppe of Ukraine" (a review of scientific literature), the role of
fertilizer, the effect of different feeding areas and the application of microfertilizers
on increasing the yield of potatoes are substantiated. Understudied issues that
deserve attention in research are highlighted, which are recommended to be
conducted in the soil-climatic zone of the Western Forest Steppe.
The second section. "Research conditions and methods" contains all the
necessary information about the conditions for conducting research, the scheme of
the experiment, as well as the main methods that were used in the process of
setting up and conducting scientific work.
The third section highlights "The influence of agrotechnological factors on
the productivity of potatoes."
According to the research results, it was established that the growth and
development of potato plants depended on the biological properties of the variety,
the phase of growth and development, the introduction of the main dose of
fertilizers and foliar fertilization. The highest stem height of potato plants on the
60th day after planting was on the variant with the introduction of the
recommended dose of fertilizers N90P90K120 + microfertilizers for the feeding area
of 70 x 20 cm in the Aria variety - 74.4 cm, and in the Gurman variety - 76.2 cm,

vegetative the weight of one bush was 705 g and 620 g, respectively, on a feeding
area of 70 x 30 cm.
The largest leaf surface area was formed on the 60th day after planting
potatoes in the Aria variety on the variant with the introduction of the
recommended dose of N90P90K120 fertilizers + microfertilizers with a feeding area
of 70 x 30 cm - 38.6 thousand m2
/ha, in the Gurman variety on the variant with the
area feeding 70 x 20 cm - 41.7 thousand m2
/ha.
