Doctoral dissertation in the field of Agriculture, Knowledge Branch 20 - Agricultural Sciences and Food, Odessa State Agrarian University, 2023. The dissertation presents the results of three-year research on the impact of technological techniques: pea development types - winter and spring; varieties - Moroz, Enduro, and Baltrapp for winter peas, and Svit and Darunok Step for spring peas; sowing rates: 0.7, 0.9, 1.1, and 1.3 million seeds per hectare. The efficiency of using winter pea varieties in conditions of risk cultivation was determined, highlighting the differences between winter and spring varieties in the Southern Steppe of Ukraine. The impact of sowing rate on the growth, development, productivity, yield formation, and quality of winter and spring pea grains was assessed. The economic efficiency of using reduced sowing rates and the comparative effectiveness of introducing winter pea varieties into crop rotation were established. Based on the research results, recommendations for optimizing crop rotation were developed, taking into account the factors studied.
