The dissertation is a comprehensive study that has formed the theoretical and methodological foundations of interest in copyright law and the tools for its legal provision. The research titled "Interest in Copyright Law: Theoretical and Legal Foundations" conducts a deep analysis of problems and current trends in the field of copyright, particularly in the context of the European integration processes of Ukrainian legislation. The study provides a comprehensive analysis of the evolution and current state of copyright law, focusing on its impact on various stakeholders. The research aims to substantiate approaches to defining the content and role of interest in copyright law and in identifying legal tools for balancing interests among various stakeholders: authors, users, the state, and the industry. In the context of rapid development of digital technologies and globalization, this research reveals ways of adapting copyright law through the prism of interests in an innovative economy, while ensuring the protection of authors' rights and compliance with international standards. To achieve the stated goal, the dissertation research characterizes the development of copyright law through the prism of stakeholders' interest; investigates general scientific and legal approaches to understanding the category of interest, taking into account the specificity of copyright law; characterizes the bearers of interest, taking into account the plurality of participants in legal relations in copyright law; determines the impact of technological development on the transformation of interests' realization by authors regarding various categories of works; considers the interaction of copyright law and fundamental human rights in the information society through the prism of the practice of the ECtHR and CJEU; determines the transformation of free use of works without the author's consent as a tool for legal provision of interests in copyright law; assesses the concept of fair remuneration to authors for the use of works in a digital environment, taking into account the interests of participants in contractual legal relations in copyright law; provides a characteristic of automated measures for copyright protection, taking into account the significance of user-generated content in the digital environment considering users' interests.
