The dissertation is devoted to the analysis of the influence of globalization processes on the sovereignty of modern states of the world, as well as how globalization, covering economic, political, social and cultural aspects, affects the traditional understanding of state sovereignty. This is the first comprehensive study that examines the prospects and directions of further development of the concept of «sovereignty» in the context of modern challenges and threats. The Introduction substantiates the relevance of the chosen topic, which arose due to problematic aspects of globalization processes in the world. The object and subject of the research are defined, and the main tasks to be solved by this work are also formulated. Methodological and theoretical foundations are defined taking into account the needs of legal science and practice. The indicated research methods are used to achieve the set goals and discover new knowledge in the chosen field. The scientific novelty of the obtained results is emphasized by identifying understudied aspects of the topic and presenting the author's own contribution. In addition, the Introduction provides information on the validation of the obtained results at conferences and in publications. It is established that the sovereignty of the modern state undergoes significant transformations under the influence of globalization processes. Globalization, as a process of interdependence and integration of economic, cultural, political and social structures, calls into question traditional notions of sovereignty. First of all, the growth of international trade and the internationalization of production make national economies more vulnerable to changes in the international context, which forces states to adapt their policies to international standards. The growth of international investment and the movement of capital also has a significant impact on the economic decisions of countries, limiting their economic freedom and independence.
