Object of investigation: Thin films and ceramics based on Y2O3 and Sc2O3. Aim of investigation: experimental investigation of optical properties of system based on Y2O3 and Sc2O3 and establishment of its connection with crystallochemical properties. Methods: optical, spectrophotometric, thermoactivation, luminescent. Results: In compounds based on yttrium and scandium oxides optical properties were investigated and centers of luminescence were established. Possibility of its application in registration of ionizing radiation was showed. Inculcation: The results are used at the Ivan Franko L’viv National University for the spectroscopic investigations of new oxychemicals. Application: Scintillation technics, dosimetry.
