. Object of the research are phrasal verbs of modern English. Aim of the research is to identify lexico-semantic and functional peculiarities of interaction of components in phrasal verbs through tracing the changes of their semantic within derivative-transpositional process. Methods of research: Deriva-tive, oppositional, paraphrasing, componental, defini-tional and qualitative analysis. Theoretical and prac-tical results consist in contribution of the research to the development of the Theory of Nomination, Word-formation Semantics and Functional Lingvistics. Inno-vation of the research lies in studying of lexico-semantic and functional peculiarities of interaction of components in phrusal verbs; in specifying the peculi-arities of their forming; in their classification by the se-mantic features, in defining the ways of semantic trans-position of these analytic lexical units. Degree of of Inculcating: The results of the research are used for the courses in lexicology and English; for special coursesi n word-formation and word semantics, in conducting researches. Field of Application: In the process of learning English lexical system, in preparing students to conduct their own research.
