Skrynnikova I. Computed tomography in diagnostics of diffuse interstitial and disseminated lung diseases.

Complex examination including standard and high resolution computed tomography has been used to investigate 230 patients with diffuse interstitial and disseminated lung diseases. Basing on verification of CT results with morphological finding it have been studied CT-semeiology of the different diffuse interstitial and disseminated lung diseases and worked out CT-criteria for determination of its form, stage and differential diagnosis. Comparison of X-ray and CT with various scan thickness and analysis of the diagnostic efficacy of these methods have revealed the significant predominance of high resolution CT in diagnosis of different diffuse lung diseases. The sensitivity of high resolution CT in diffuse lung diseases was amounted from 60 to 80% being more higher in patients with sarcoidosis and more less - with histiocytosis X and collagenous diseases; sensitivity - from 87% in idiopathic fibrosing alveolitis to 97% in carcinomatosis and bronhiole-alveolar cancer.
