The dissertation is devoted to a source analysis of the pro-to-cols of the general visitation of the Lviv Eparchy 1730-1733. Investigates the history of the research into the visitations do-cumentation of the Lviv Eparchy of the 18 c. Researches the evolution of the institution of canonical visitations in the Lviv Eparchy, the times and geographical limits of the second gene-ral visitation of the Lviv Eparchy, also studies the visitation program of Episcopal commissars in which is designated the content and structures of the description of churches in the vi-sitation protocols. Discloses the potential for source study use of visitation documents for such under-researched problems in Ukrainian historiography. i
