Essay

The results of study the clinical significance and the role of stages of prenatal and postnatal diagnosis of congenital abnormalities in medical measures at their prevention are presented. The necessity of ultrasound examination of women with use the idea of "reverse" link is shown. The results of ultrasound examination of 5720 pregnant women in term before 24 weeks are studied. The issues of 66 pregnancies with abnormal fetuses are analysed. The comparision of freguences of abnormalities and their regional structure on the base of prenatal and postnatal diagnosis is made. It is counted that the total freguency of congenital abnomalities in children is 21,38‰, in fetuses 18,0‰, Main abnormalities in children according to their monitoring are anomalies of sceleton, cardiovascular and urinary tract systems, multiple abnormalities. Main abnormalities in fetuses are anomalies of urinary tract system (42,7%), central nervous system (24,3%), multiple abnormalities (11,7%). Comparison of freguency and struc ture of congenital abnormalities in fetuses and new-borns bears witness about the great significance of succession of prenatal and postnatal diagnosis of anomalies for opportune elimination of fetuses with lethal abnormalities and for early diagnosis of anomalies in children during the first monthes of life in the stage of preclinical manifestation of disease.
